On a sunny and warm January afternoon (just about the only beautiful one we had this year) Jeremy and Vanessa said I do at a beautiful ceremony, followed by a super fun reception at Dallas’ Filter Building on White Rock Lake. Jeremy and Vanessa had a lovely wedding day to remember, and I’m so glad that Bret and I got to be a part of it. The day was such a whirlwind to me that at first I wondered if we had gotten any photos, I honestly couldn’t really remember what all I had shot. But of course once I started looking through, I realized that there were many, many wonderful, sweet and simple, and happy moments that we were there for and we had captured. Jeremy and Vanessa, thank you so much for allowing us to be such an important part of your day. I hope you enjoy.

Take 2 sessions are my absolute favorite because you have as much time as you want to shoot the gorgeous couple, and you can go to pretty much any location the suits the bride and groom. With April and David we knew it had to be somewhere unique. We settled on a great location that over looks the Dallas skyline, and on top of that has a beautiful mid century modern style (a favorite of April’s). We had such a fun time, and I’m so excited for them to see the images we captured that day!

April and David’s wedding was way back in October, but we wanted to wait for their take 2 shoot before finalizing their highlight video. I’m glad we did because the Take 2 shoot went fantastically, which you can see some of at the end of the video. And just wait until Ann posts the photos she’s currently wrapping up from the shoot, they are killer!

You may remember April and David’s awesome engagement session from a few months back. Well time has flown by once again, and their wedding has now come and gone. It was a beautiful evening ceremony, and the reception was held in the Julie Rogers Theater in Beaumont, TX. We are super looking forward to their take 2 session coming up soon!

Aunt Mary & Uncle Bill

While in Gulf Shores in May, my Aunt Mary and Uncle Bill celebrated 20 years of marriage by renewing their wedding vows on the beach. My Aunt Mary was a beautiful bride 20 years ago, but she was absolutely stunning on her 20th anniversary. With their faces glowing and “big ol hearts dancing in their eyes” they pledged their love for each other once again in a perfect sunset beach ceremony. It was truly moving to see. Their love for each other is still just as strong as it was when they got married and I had tears in my eyes while looking through the photos and seeing the love and joy that radiated through them.

Aunt Mary’s best friend and maid of honor (who she’s known for as long as I can remember) Shirley, was there with her husband Lyn. They were also a very sweet couple!

Stephanie + Dan – A Glimpse

As a companion to Stephanie and Dan’s wedding photography we also shot a highlight video, that I really think of more as “a glimpse” into all the little bits and pieces that made that day theirs. This is my favorite video that I have done to date. There was just this raw feeling to the whole thing as I put it all together; it was so real that it was surreal. And whatever that means exactly, I tried to focus on it. I hope that it comes across well, because Stephanie and Dan are an amazingly beautiful couple.
