When I found out that my cousin Ginny was coming to visit from Seattle I was so excited, not only because I would get to see her after not seeing her for 8 or 10 years or so, but also because my Aunt Jan asked us to take her Senior portraits! It was a great visit, and a great shoot. We started at around 7:00am wanting to beat the heat, and I’m so glad we did. It was already in the 90′s by the time we were finished around 8:30. It was hard enough on us Texan’s much less Ginny who is conditioned to 75 degree Seattle weather. But she was such a trooper, and did amazing through the whole shoot. I’m so excited for her and her mom to see them!

The evening of Karen’s senior portrait shoot was a race for time against the setting sun. We shot a blend of stills and video using the dramatic sunlight that totally captured Karen’s sense of styles, starting with a more casual look and ending with a super chic cosmopolitanism that would leave many fashion models wondering if they should start looking for day jobs.

My super cool cousin, Cassie, came down for a few days to enjoy some Texas summer sun, and to have a few awesome senior photos taken!

We had a blast while she was here and her photos turned out great! I can’t even believe how grown up she is!

Since we were going for a more ‘fashion’ style shoot, we had the opportunity for some really cool stuff, so shooting a video for her only made sense! And thanks again to The Nest in Snider Plaza for letting us shoot in their great little shop/gallery!

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Samantha. The first time was when she was just a sophomore, she was gorgeous then, and now it is two years later and she is just absolutely stunning! We found some great little spots in Dallas for her Senior portrait session. One of my favorites was a little place called The Nest in Snider Plaza. They have the most amazing stuff there!

I think she looks like a movie star in this one!

This one is at The Nest too. I just love how fun the orange is and her expression is great!

Her mom Patricia told me that she was really into shabby chic as well.

I always have a favorite and I think this might be it.

Bret also did a Senior portrait video that I can not wait to post. He’s finishing it up and it should be done before the weekend is over. From the little of it I’ve seen it is going to be great!
