The Johnston Girls

It was so much fun getting to see the Johnston girls, Ava, and Livi, again this year for their holiday portrait, and as an added bonus, they have a brand new little sister, Cora! They are soooo adorable, and I really can’t believe how unique each of their personalities are. Ava lives for the camera, and Livi just LOVES to make silly faces! Cora is still taking it all in I think, but I’m sure she’ll have no trouble holding her own with the other two.

Jacob

I arrived at the Feather home early on a cool Saturday morning. Usually I shoot babies as they sleep, but little Jacob would have none of that! He was wide awake and ready to play. Luckily he is equally cute awake as he is asleep, and he had no complaints of me taking tons of photos of him. He did look at me like I was a little crazy at first, but he got used to it really quick, and we got some adorable wide eyed shots of him. Eventually he did get sleepy, but only agreed to stay asleep while in his mom’s arms, and that worked for us.

The Greenstreet Family

As always, it was great hanging out with Raun and Meredith last Saturday for little Ben’s first family photo shoot! Bret and I went out together for the shoot, and I was so glad he came because Ben was just mesmerized by him! He kept his eyes right on him the whole time! Ben was such a little trooper when we put him in the grass. We even did a couple of shots with him in the pool, and he just smiled through it. What a cutie, Mere and Raun, thanks so much for having us capture these memories for you. We feel truly blessed to have you as friends.

the little water bug

The time for my niece, Jilllian’s 18 month portraits is here! Bret and I had Jillian all to ourselves for a whole day (and night). We went shoe shopping, grocery shopping, we played in the yard, and had time for a few portraits. I think we did just about everything under the sun, and believe me at 105 degrees it feels like you are literally right under the sun! Cindy packed Jillian a super cute little outfit complete with the cutest little pink Chucks, so that we could get some photos while we were babysitting. Our plan was to get some portraits in in the morning, but it was so hot that we could barely get this normally very happy girl to crack a smile. That is, until we said the magic word. No, it wasn’t please, it was “Swimming” As soon as Bret said that word her whole face lit up and she pointed at the water saying “pool, pool!” I convinced her to change out of her little 50′s style outfit and into an even cuter bathing suit. We figured, why should the photo shoot stop now, she’s just starting to enjoy herself! I’m so glad we didn’t put the cameras away, because the results are probably my favorite Jillian photos yet!

The Brown Family

Kay Brown is the lucky dog that gets to watch my little niece Jillian during the day. She is a lovely person, and Bret and I really enjoyed capturing some photos of her growing family. She has one little grandbaby already, and one on the way! Thanks so much to Kay and her daughters and their husbands for braving the heat that day, and letting us capture some beautiful memories for you!

Welcome, Little Ben

A few months back on Valentine’s Day I went up and shot some maternity photos for Meredith & Raun. It’s now little Ben’s turn for a shot in front of the camera, and he did great! He takes very well after his mother and father in the photogenic department! He loved all the excitement! There’s no sleeping baby here!

Little Logan Joins the World

You may remember a few posts back I did some maternity photos for Jeremy & Michelle. Well, their little one has arrived, and let me tell you, he is a sweet little thing! I got to hold him for a few minutes before we started shooting, and he stole my heart from the second I picked him up! I’m so excited for Jeremy & Michelle, and of course, Little Logan!

My niece Jillian (Jilly Bean) turned one in February. I thought she was cute when she was born, but I gotta tell ya, I don’t think it gets much cuter than this!
