hello, nice to meet you.

We're illuminare photography + cinematography and this blog/website serves as our initial meeting ground, allowing you to get to know us and our work a little better.  While we have a portfolio section and frequently post blog highlights from our weddings and portrait shoots, we also keep the blog rolling with a bunch of various photos and videos that we do for ourselves when we're out just having a good time.  We feel that it's important to share this side of ourselves and allow you to see who we are, how we work, and what we think is cool.

So sit back, relax and have fun browsing around!  And if you feel that we'd be a good match for you, we'd love to hear from you!

hello, I’m Johnny Cash

It has been a whirlwind of a week since we got back from Australia.  We pretty much got home on Monday evening, took a nap and jumped back in the car Friday afternoon to head north for an 8 (which turned into 10 with traffic and stops) hour drive to Lebanon, MO  to get our little 12 week old puppy who we have named Cash.

We had a great weekend visiting with my Aunt Mary and Uncle Bill and my Dad, who had been watching Cash while we were away.  It was well worth the drive for a little weekend retreat in the country.  The drive itself was beautiful and we caught the most gorgeous sunset!

It was a baby animal weekend for sure!  There were puppies, and kittens and even a foal that came up to the fence to say “Hi” a few times!

Well,  we finally have our little guy home and he is a playful thing!  We are already having so much fun with him and he’s only been here for a couple of days!

It surely was a beautiful sunset Friday night and little Camo looks too cute - although he has been in lots of trouble this week being a kitten and getting into places he shouldn't go - -We loved having you and Bret here and look forward to watching Cash grow up! He sure looks like his Mom in the last picture chewing on a stick.
