Our last stop for our honeymoon is Cairns where we have just a few more outings planned before a final day of rest on the beach. Our first… snorkeling! We took a catamaran out to the great barrier reef, which is 45 minutes or so from shore, much further than we expected. The wind was really blowing hard, and it made for a fun ride out there. When we stopped, the only sign marking our arrival was the breaking waves on the reef below. We snorkeled at three different locations on the reef and luckily we didn’t see any sharks or anything while out there! We brought a little underwater camera along with us and we’ll be getting the film developed soon, so we’ll share some photos when we get back.
