hello, nice to meet you.

We're illuminare photography + cinematography and this blog/website serves as our initial meeting ground, allowing you to get to know us and our work a little better.  While we have a portfolio section and frequently post blog highlights from our weddings and portrait shoots, we also keep the blog rolling with a bunch of various photos and videos that we do for ourselves when we're out just having a good time.  We feel that it's important to share this side of ourselves and allow you to see who we are, how we work, and what we think is cool.

So sit back, relax and have fun browsing around!  And if you feel that we'd be a good match for you, we'd love to hear from you!

sailing sydney harbor

Our sailing cruise through Sydney Harbor was simply perfect.  Time slowed the second we stepped from the dock onto the boat.  With the wind picking up, we opened up some sail to carry us at a relaxing pace through the harbor.  Colin, owner of Harbour Days, took us out with another couple from Canada to tour the area on his boat, the Emma Mei.  His knowledge of the harbor was unbelievable, he was able to share information on all of the standard landmarks in addition to nearly any home or building questioned.  At mid day, after completing the tour of the harbor, we dropped off our Canadian friends to continue their Sydney exploration, while we headed back out with Colin to a small beach that’s only accessible by water, near the harbor entrance.  After dropping anchor just offshore, he prepared an amazing meal for us that felt like fine dining.   We couldn’t believe the celebrity style treatment we got the whole day, and to say that we loved every second of it would be an understatement.  We can’t think of a better way to be introduced to Sydney, which we are easily sold on after a day like today.

Our morning tour of the Sydney harbour was increadable thanks to Colin and the two Dallas Sparklers, the afternoon tour of Sydney was amazing, thanks to John. Up for 36 hours on the return flights, the next day we're back into the grind, full swing. No rest for the wicked. Things are winding up for Hallowe'en in our house. The most important Holiday of the year. This year we combine The Clue Game and CSI for a Who-dunnit display. Really enjoyed looking at your shots. I guess that's why your pros.
