The wonderful family that saved us via hitchhike yesterday told us about a great little coffee/breakfast place in their home town. On our way out of Queenstown we made that our first stop, but not before getting briefly held up in the action of a sheep dog (at the direction of his owner on horseback) guiding tons of sheep down the side of the road. It was impressive to say the least. Once we got near, we had to ask some of the locals in town where exactly in it was, and we ended up finding “Joe’s Garage” tucked away in a corner of a strip of little shops. It was a place known mostly only to the people that lived there, which made it all the better, and inside I had without a doubt my favorite meal in New Zealand so far.
