hello, nice to meet you.

We're illuminare photography + cinematography and this blog/website serves as our initial meeting ground, allowing you to get to know us and our work a little better.  While we have a portfolio section and frequently post blog highlights from our weddings and portrait shoots, we also keep the blog rolling with a bunch of various photos and videos that we do for ourselves when we're out just having a good time.  We feel that it's important to share this side of ourselves and allow you to see who we are, how we work, and what we think is cool.

So sit back, relax and have fun browsing around!  And if you feel that we'd be a good match for you, we'd love to hear from you!

alice springs

To wrap up our outback excursion, we first stopped by an old town where schools were first set up.  Our camp was just a few miles from there, and on the way to it we drove by a few wild horses feeding on the side of the road!  Our camp for the last night was...

kings canyon

Kings Canyon is a smaller version of the Grand Canyon, but standing up on the edge looking down you wouldn’t know it.  A bunch of hiking and climbing took us deep into the area where we got some great views.  It was easy to get turned around in there, and made all of the stories...

around the fire

Night out here is so awesome.  The near zero light pollution lets us see the stars clear as day, which we quickly realized are all new to us being on the other side of the world.  Weird!!  Sitting around a campfire, talking into the night has been so enjoyable that after spending a night in...
