We're illuminare photography + cinematography and this blog/website serves as our initial meeting ground, allowing you to get to know us and our work a little better.  While we have a portfolio section and frequently post blog highlights from our weddings and portrait shoots, we also keep the blog rolling with a bunch of various photos and videos that we do for ourselves when we're out just having a good time.  We feel that it's important to share this side of ourselves and allow you to see who we are, how we work, and what we think is cool.

a gold leaf promotion

We wanted to send a congratulations card to my friend who just got promoted to Major in the Air Force. The insignia for Major in the Air Force is a gold leaf, so we found one and created our own little greeting card for him. We actually planned on doing this a few weeks ago when we first got his announcement.  However, we found the perfect leaf then the next day it began to rain and didn’t stop for over a week!  We carried our little gold leaf around  waiting for the right time to take a few photos of it.  It even survived our move into our new house! We liked the photos so much we thought we’d share them with everyone.

Congratulations again Josh!  We are proud of you!
