We're illuminare photography + cinematography and this blog/website serves as our initial meeting ground, allowing you to get to know us and our work a little better. While we have a portfolio section and frequently post blog highlights from our weddings and portrait shoots, we also keep the blog rolling with a bunch of various photos and videos that we do for ourselves when we're out just having a good time. We feel that it's important to share this side of ourselves and allow you to see who we are, how we work, and what we think is cool.

Now that the one month countdown to our wedding is here we had a few loose ends to tie up so we decided to spend our Labor Day weekend in Austin since that’s actually where our wedding ceremony will be. We were driving through Austin on our way to meet the Judge who is going to marry us and we had a little bit of time to kill. We had just decided to use the time to find some cool spots and take some photos, and Bret sees this amazing looking lot with an abandoned house. Not sure how it got that way but we had fun getting some shots and finished up just in time to get over to our appointment!
