We're illuminare photography + cinematography and this blog/website serves as our initial meeting ground, allowing you to get to know us and our work a little better. While we have a portfolio section and frequently post blog highlights from our weddings and portrait shoots, we also keep the blog rolling with a bunch of various photos and videos that we do for ourselves when we're out just having a good time. We wanted to send a congratulations card to my friend who just got promoted to Major in the Air Force. The insignia for Major in the Air Force is a gold leaf, so we found one and created our own little greeting card for him. We actually planned on doing this a few weeks ago...

While in Austin, Amber asked us to shoot some photos for the gym that she’s a trainer at, Wild Basin. They didn’t have any kettlebell photos to display, so we went to remedy that. What’s a kettlebell? Well, it’s Russian in origin, it’s heavy, and you swing it…over and over. I’m pretty sure that’s verbatim...
While in Austin, we got a little experience in a sweeping phenomenon… Rockband. It’s nerdy and humbling, even a little humiliating, but it’s definitely a lot of fun. We already knew that Ann loves to sing, but man, give her a microphone and she goes to a whole other level! I sure wish we’d gotten...
With rain approaching and the sun setting on Saturday afternoon in Austin, Ann and I grabbed the camera and went for a little walk through the neighborhood. We got to witness a local football game, as well as shoot what basically ended up being a Ray-Ban ad before running home dodging rain drops.
