We're illuminare photography + cinematography and this blog/website serves as our initial meeting ground, allowing you to get to know us and our work a little better. While we have a portfolio section and frequently post blog highlights from our weddings and portrait shoots, we also keep the blog rolling with a bunch of various photos and videos that we do for ourselves when we're out just having a good time. If you couldn’t already tell from the last post, the Petrofs are one stink’n awesome family! Their expressive love makes being around them a joy and naturally makes for a beautifully family video. We love you guys and hope you enjoy your keepsakes of Aiden’s 1st birthday!

I first photographed Aiden when he was just a little baby. Just about 1 year ago. Bret and I went up to the Petrof’s house in Plano and did a little family video and photos and some 1 year photos of Aiden.
We had a blast and little Aiden was so cute! I was really impressed...
Here it is! Bret did a great job setting up shots all day and putting this together so that we’d have this awesome little memento of the day that he asked me to marry him. And yes, the end is a live take of him proposing!

After a full day of location scouting and hanging out, Bret set the video camera up for one final shot. When he came over to me he was breathing like he had just run a mile and his heart was beating a mile a minute. I turned around and he got down on one knee...
