hello, nice to meet you.

We're illuminare photography + cinematography and this blog/website serves as our initial meeting ground, allowing you to get to know us and our work a little better.  While we have a portfolio section and frequently post blog highlights from our weddings and portrait shoots, we also keep the blog rolling with a bunch of various photos and videos that we do for ourselves when we're out just having a good time.  We feel that it's important to share this side of ourselves and allow you to see who we are, how we work, and what we think is cool.

So sit back, relax and have fun browsing around!  And if you feel that we'd be a good match for you, we'd love to hear from you!

Amy & Cameron

I knew as soon as I met Amy that we would be great friends!  We are both St. Louis girls relocated to Dallas,  and our instant bond over beer and cardinal baseball is probably only something other people from St. Louis can understand. The wedding weekend was a blast!  As it was Bret’s first time in St. Louis, and first time meeting a majority of my family we were there a few days early to visit and hang out before the wedding.  We met up with Amy and Cameron on Friday night for the rehearsal cocktail hour.  We of course had a great time and met a ton of awesome people.  (including Richard and Allen, who live down the street from us and we hope to make our new tennis partners!  YEA!) Saturday morning we started the day at the Hyatt Regency Union Station which is a landmark itself for getting ready photos.

Amy had the coolest St. Louis Cardinals Garter!

After the ceremony we headed over to many St. Louis landmarks for photos.  Of course the Arch was first on the list!  This shot is Bret’s and it is one of my favorite’s of the whole day!

I simply told the grooms men to “make the girls laugh”  they more than delivered with a montage of “make love to the camera” and “be a tiger” and such things.  Heck they had me rolling! It was Hilarious!

There was a Cardinal game that day and we got to Busch Stadium about a half hour or so before it started.  Perfect timing for Seas of red, and a TON of traffic.  However, the Police officer that was directing traffic, actually held up the whole 4 way intersection so that I could get this shot!  I knew I could stop traffic! ;)

img_8266I absolutely  love it when couples do slideshows of their growing up years.  The memories and reactions are always some of the most beautiful shots.
