I had sent some photos of one of the family session’s I had done to Bret and he told me “You know, Everytime I see images that you shoot at the arboretum, it looks like a totally different place.” I thought that was great since I never like to do anything the same way twice! Well, I think for the Wilhelm’s it was no exception. After having to postpone the session a couple of times due to rain, and whatnot we ended up with a beautiful sunny morning that wasn’t even too hot. The Kids did great and I really enjoyed chatting with Valerie and getting to know her a little better as well.
I really liked this shot of Lily and Jackson!

Is Lucy a little princess or what? She’s such a doll! Really, she just won the national ms. Cinderella competition.

These were also Lily’s 1 year photos. These little child size benches were so cute, I don’t know how I never saw them before, but like I said every time I go there I seem to find something new.

My favorite thing we did this time was playing in the frog fountain! The kids (and I) had a lot of fun and time flew by. finally Valerie looked down at her watch and realized it was 12:30! We had been there for over two hours! At first they were a little hesitant to get in the water because they still had their dresses and dress clothes. It was like they thought we were trying to trick them into getting in trouble. It was cute though as they gradually let themselves have more and more fun with it until they were just running and playing all around the fountain.

Valerie told me “hey this is perfect! We love reptiles! We even have a pet bullfrog.”

Lily seriously cracked me up! She’s so funny. It’s amazing how much personality kids have even before they can talk!
This one might be my favorite of the whole day.
